Floppy Hoops
Floppy Hoops is a physics basketball game played with a single button. Your floppy ragdoll players stand on long wobbly legs and lean whichever way their body sways: press to jump and swing the arms up, keep holding to lift them higher, and let go to throw. Touch the ball with a hand to grab it, jump toward the basket and release at the top of the arc, early for a long flat shot or late for a high lob. Big cartoon heads bump, bodies tumble, and the ball bounces off the rim, the backboard and everybody in between, so no two baskets ever look the same.
Every point changes the rules of the court. One round is played on the moon with floaty low gravity, the next with a giant ball, a tiny hoop, a slippery ice floor, a bouncy super ball, long noodle arms, huge heads, a gust of wind or a hoop set extra low for easy dunks, and sometimes each side gets a second player. The first team to five points wins the game. Every basket gets a slow-motion replay, clean swishes and dunks get their own celebration, and the crowd in the stands goes wild with confetti.
Play the computer on easy, normal or hard, or enter the tournament and try to beat eight rivals in a row without a single loss. Two friends can play on one keyboard or one phone, each with their own button or half of the screen. Online, quick match pairs you with a random player and a private room gives you a four-letter code to share with a friend. Your wins, swishes, dunks and streaks are kept in your stats, and tournament titles and online wins go on the leaderboards.
How to play
- Press and hold your button (W, Space or a tap) to jump and swing your arms up. Your players jump the way their body leans: hold for a moment to lean toward the basket you attack, let go for a moment to lean back.
- Touch the ball with a hand to grab it. Knock it out of a rival's hands by touching it with yours.
- With the ball, jump toward the basket and release the button near the top of the jump. The higher the arms are when you let go, the steeper the throw: release early for long shots and late for short lobs.
- Each point plays with a random court rule such as low gravity, a big ball, ice or a tiny hoop, shown at the top of the screen. The first side to 5 points wins.
- In two-player mode, player 1 uses W or the left half of the screen and player 2 uses the Up arrow or the right half.
