Glimmer Grid is a block puzzle that glows. Three pieces wait under an 8x8 grid; drag them onto the board, fill a whole row or column and it bursts into sparks. When all three pieces are placed, a fresh set slides in. There is no timer and no rush, only the board and your next move, so it is easy to pick up for a minute and hard to put down.

Every block you place scores a point, and lines are where the big numbers are: clearing two, three or four lines at once pays far more than one at a time, and clearing again within three moves keeps a combo going that multiplies every clear. Empty the whole grid for a 300 point perfect clear bonus. Pieces get bigger as your score climbs, but the dealer always gives you at least one piece that fits.

Tap a piece to turn it a quarter turn, which can open up room that looked lost. When no piece fits anywhere, you get one free continue each game that clears the two fullest rows and columns. Your game is saved after every move, so you can close the tab and carry on later, and with a free TapNPlay account your best score goes on the leaderboard and follows you to other devices.

How to play

  1. Drag one of the three pieces below the grid (beside it on wide screens) onto any empty spot on the board.
  2. Fill a complete row or column to clear it. Clearing several lines at once, or clearing again within three moves, scores a combo.
  3. Tap a piece in the tray to turn it clockwise before placing it.
  4. When none of your pieces fit anywhere the game is over. Use your one free continue to clear the two fullest rows and columns and keep going.

FAQ

How is the score counted?

Each placed block is worth one point. A clear is worth 10 for one line, 30 for two, 60 for three and so on, times your combo. Emptying the whole grid adds 300 more.

How does the combo work?

Every clear raises the combo by one and multiplies that clear's points. The combo survives up to two moves without a clear and resets on the third.

What does Continue do?

Once per game, when no piece fits, Continue clears the two fullest rows and the two fullest columns and deals a new set of pieces, for free.
