Lot Escape
Lot Escape is a parking lot puzzle seen from above. The lot is packed with cars, trucks and buses, all facing different ways, and every one of them wants to go home. Tap a vehicle and it drives straight ahead until it leaves the lot or bumps into the one in front of it; swipe backward on it and it reverses instead. Free vehicles turn onto the ring road and drive off through the gate, while the ones you tap too early honk and their drivers get a little grumpy.
The puzzle is the order. Every vehicle can only drive along its own lane, so you have to spot which ones have a clear way out and which ones are waiting for others to leave first. Early lots hold a handful of cars; later ones are crowded with forty and more, with long trucks, buses, traffic cones and barriers in the way. Every sixth level is a sliding lot: the vehicles move one space at a time and only the starred car has to get out through the gate.
All 300 levels are checked by a solver, so each one can be cleared and the fewest possible moves are known. Finish close to that number for three stars. Undo and restart are always there, and a hint shows the next best vehicle to move. After level 300 new lots keep coming, and the daily puzzle gives everyone the same lot each day with its own leaderboard. Your progress is saved automatically, and with a free TapNPlay account your stars go on the leaderboard and follow you to other devices.
How to play
- Tap a vehicle to drive it forward. It keeps going until it leaves the lot or bumps into something.
- Swipe backward along a vehicle to make it reverse. Vehicles only ever move along their own lane.
- Clear the lot by driving every vehicle out. Use as few moves as you can: the best possible number plus one earns three stars.
- On sliding lots, move vehicles one space at a time and get the car with the star out through the gate.
- Stuck? Use Undo, Restart or Hint. Bumping into a vehicle without moving does not count as a move.
